After the patients are triaged, the more serious patients must
be moved to another treatment area known as the “Casualty
Collection Point”. There they are maintained until they can be
transported to a hospital.
Depending on the number of patients injured and how widely spread the disaster is, the hospitals may be over loaded. Therefore
it may take a few hours to a few days before the patients are all
transported.
The CASUALTY COLLECTION POINT CACHE was designed to meet this need. It is designed to maintain 100 patients
for several days.
